Appreciate the info on the Yazoo River Plantations. Some of my wife's family owned and lived on Gander Cleugh just before and during the Civil War. Several families from Rutherford County, TN owned and built plantation homes along the Yazoo River. Yandell's and Wilson's were the two I'm most familiar with. Does anyone know if there are any photos of the old plantation homes. I'm particularly interested in Gander Cleugh Plantation since it was originially owned by Rutherford County, TN folks. Many of the old homes survived the Civil War, but were later destroyed or burned down. I'm interested in their history. A distant relative kept a diary of her stay there in the 1860-61 period. It is online and very interesting, with names and people of the area. I'll link it here as soon as I can. Thanks again.
