My grandfather was Samuel Wayne Brown aka Chief Yuchi
Micco Fus Hucha
Yahola of the Yuchi
Tribe. He was born Sept. 17, 1909 in
Sapulpa,
Creek County,
Oklahoma and my mother last heard from him in 1973 when he was at the
Houston,
Texas VA Hospital waiting for kidney transplants as he had the rare rh. neg. type AB blood. Would anyone know his whereabouts or obit?
His father was Samuel William Brown, Jr. born near
Bixby,
Oklahoma on June 9, 1867 and died in
Mathis,
Texas on December 31, 1957 at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 22 days. He was the Hereditery and elected Chief of the Yuchi Indians from
Georgia and
Arkansas.
His father was Samuel William Brown, Sr. born in 1832 in
Arkansas and was Chief of the Yuchi
Tribe of Indians, and died at the age of 102 yrs. 8 mos. and was burried at South
Heights Cemetery in
Sapulpa,
Oklahoma on February 24, 1935.
All of the above Browns are burried in South
Heights Cemetery in
Sapulpa,
Creek County,
Oklahoma with the exception of Samuel Wayne Brown who I can't locate any info on except in the
Sapulpa,
Oklahoma 1930 and 1920 Federal Census.
