Seeking information on George Blair (1851-1886) and Martha Cole Blair (2nd husband was a Walker) (1841-1925). Her parents were Thomas William or William Thomas Cole (1791-1814 appx.)and Susie Ella Williamson (1856-1896). George's brother Bob married Martha's sister Jane. George and Martha are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Simpson Co. Their children were Pete, Leffie, Archie, Lula, Lela, and Lucy. Leffie, my grandfather, is also buried at Mt. Zion.

This family is covered in "Archie and Mattie", a book published in 2001 by Mrs. Mattie Shoemaker Holliday, Bare Branches Genealogy, P. O. Box 2274, Vidor, TX 77670-2274. The book (555 page soft cover) is about Archie (grandson of George and Martha (Cole) Blair) & Martha (Williams) Blair, grandparents of Mrs. Holliday and related families that included the Pledger, Hubbard, Williamson and Ishee families who settled in/near Covington, Simpson and Jefferson Davis counties of Mississippi.

I have lost contact with Mrs. Holliday but maybe you can locate a copy of the book in a library. I purchased it because of connections to the Hubbard and Williamson families but I am not a descendant of the Blairs or Coles.
