James Gregory is noted on the 1840 Carroll County, Mississippi Federal
Census and is the subject of my investigation. He has moved to Panola
County, Mississippi by 1850 and after his wife dies in 1852 moves to
Ashley County, Arkansas.

I am looking for any information, other than the censuses, in the
Panola County arena that may indicate his place of birth, censuses only
indicate Alabama, or parents names or his wife's parents and siblings.
