Hello! My name is Matthews Wright and I've researched my maternal and paternal familes since 2005. Emily Walker the mother of the twins, Victoria and Amelia Walker were slaves in Noxubee Co. I am told that the twins were the children of the master of the plantation and they and Emily adopted the surname Walker. Emily later married Robert Thompson and was approached by my 2nd Great Grandfather John Wright with a bond of $200.00 being offered to marry 14 yr. old Victoria.

Through research I have yet been able to find the exact plantation that held my family and I am hoping that this post might lead to documentation to further develop the history of the Wright family of Noxubee Co, Beat 5, MS.
