You are right I do come across these families alot in my research in Noxubee County. Most of my maternal grandmother's family is from outside of Macon/Brooksville. I am looking for information on Jacksons as well that came originally from South Carolina and Georgia before the Civil War . Some of my family members in Cleveland, OH are also "Cottons" for Nox Co.
