Thomas Taylor Thames Sr and wife Sarah A. Temples with children thomas Taylor Jr, Mary J., Daniel D, William, and John J lived along the Chunky river in Newton Co from about 1850 to 1867. On the other side of the Chunky river, in Lauderdale Co MS lived John W. Thames with wife Nancy Elizabeth Temples (believed to be sister or cousins). They moved to Van Zandt Co Tx in 1867. Thomas Taylor Jr joined to Civil War from Newton Co. Mary J. husband Stephen Giles was also in the Civil War from Newton Co. Would like to contact and corresponde and exchange data with anyone who knew of this family or who are descendents of these families. Thomas Taylor Jr m Mary J. Carson who also lived along the Chunky river. Mary J. Father, John Huffman Carson died and is buried in Newton Co. Mary J. Carson moved to Hill Co Tx after the death of her husband.
