Maybe it's just me - but I don't know where to find information any more. In the beginning contributors would add their transcribed records to the Gen Web sites (I know these area no longer updated); Cyndi List had links to these, which made it easy to find all states, etc. I had contributed to these sites with information that I had transcribed. All that seems to be gone.

Now I just seem to find links to links! I am a member of Ancestry & Fold3 which are paid sites; I know about Free Family records thru the LDS. I always check Cyndi Howell's "What's New" category. I look at State Achieves a for any actual records that are online.

Am I missing something out there? Does any one have any other sites that I might check. Just seems that no one contributes there own transcriptions anymore.
