Looking for parents of James Rodgers, born 1857. Father was WJ Rodgers mother was Mary Jane Owens. Family lore says that WJ Rodgers died in a yankee prison during Civil War.. Afterward James went to live with his Uncle Henry Owens, and later moved to Texas. Family lore also states that his children were cousins to Jimmie Rodgers, the musician from Lauderdale Co.
