I am searching for Joe Michaux b. abt. 1879 in Early Co., GA and died in Laurel, MS.
The surname could be spelled differently. Joe had a sister named Laura who was raised by their Uncle in Early Co. Laura b.in 1881 is my husband's grandmother.

I would like to hear from a descendant or someone who will share dates and information on this family.

I learned recently that Joseph Michaux's name was Joseph "Joe" KNIGHT. He lived with KNIGHT relatives after his parents (Galphin and Eliza Michaux) died. I wasn't aware of the name change.

Not sure if this is who you are searching for but was Joseph Louis Michaux the son of Eliza Michaux and Desire Michaux? Eliza's maiden name Duchene? If so I have bit of info.

I think that Joseph G. Michaux married Martha Jane Maynor in 1899 in Walton CO, FL. He was not present in the 1920 Census.

The Joseph Michaux I am looking for was born Jan. 29, 1897. He died April 30, 1963 in New Westminster, B.C.
He had 3 children with Clarice Campbell nee Matthews.
Marji, Jack and Douglas.

i believe his father was Desire and his mother was Eliza.

Maybe Desire married another ladynamed Galphin? Not sure. Desire died on Vancouver Island, B.C.
