I am excited to read your message! Lewis Bryant is my is my GGGgrandfather! I have searched for any info on him. I visited Hickory, Newton County, Mississippi a couple years ago to see if I could find his grave, but I could not. I did find a man who had researched it and found that the town of Hickory now sits on Lewis's land. I do not know what his wife's name was or his other children other than Alfred. Are you connected to Alfred or one of Alfred's siblings?
