Need help locateing a cemetery named Spring Hill. Is there one? My Sumrall descendents are from Laurel,Jones Co.,Ms. I am looking for information on William W.Sumrall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

William Wesley Sumrall married Nancy Emaline Collins, 1861 in Jones County, MS per "Who Married Whom - Jones County, MS 1827-1880", (c) 1986 Edwards & Strickland.

Nancy is granddaughter of Stacy Collins, Sr. from whom I am descended through Jasper J. Collins.

Stacy, Sr., Stacy, Jr. and Warren J. Collins moved to Hardin County, TX in 1854 where Stacy, Jr. and Warren raised families. Are you also related to them?

The Spring Hill Cemetery is located next to Spring Hill Baptist Church on Spring Hill Road in Jones County. Take Highway 84 west of Laurel, turn north on Highway 28 towards Soso go about 1 mile, turn left on Spring Hill Road, go about 3 miles. The church and cemetery are on the left. Hope this helps.

I have your William Wesley Sumrall as the youngest son of Jessie and Christianna Sumrall. His sister, Frances Sumrall married Bird Harris. They are my great great grandparents. The Sumralls and Harrises lived in Clarke County, Mississippi. I lost track of Frances after 1870. Bird Harris died in Vicksburg in 1863. I am searching for Frances, thought she may have followed the Sumralls to Jones County

William Washington Sumrall - My Great Grandfather? Can't remember off the top of my head. Wife Ollie Mae Bush. Father is Jesse and Mother Christioan (have seen many spelling of her name. From family historians that is her maiden name as well as her married name...they being first cousins. Not related (atleast very directly) to the first reply to your posting
