Any experienced researchers with early Jefferson Co marriages:

What information is generally contained in these early marriages (the actual marriage record)? Is is just the names of the Groom, Bride and Minister OR does it contain names of witnesses, names of parents, or consent of parent/guardian for those of a younger age also?

I found an index entry for Valentine I/J Hopkins and Elizabeth Rider marrying on 6 Nov 1834. And I am wondering if it is worth ordering the LDS microfilm of the marriage book to see the actual record? By worth, I mean will it give me the names of Elizabeth's parents or the name of her guardian as her parents were deceased.

Also is there any existing newspapers for 1834?
