Iam looking for information about my great grandfather family Jessie W West. He seems to be a bit of a mystery. He was born Jasper Co Miss. about 1855. There are several theories as to who his parents were but not truly proveable. Possible parents are: Shadrach & Penny West, Edward & Selete Ann West, & Osborne & Lucy West. He came to Texas in 1870 with Shadrach & Penny West. Edward & Selete Ann had died by this time around 1864/65 in Lousianna. Actually the West family had moved to Louisanna by this time. Osborne West is also a mystery, there isnt a record for him that I have found. Lucy married Absolem Davis and also moved to Texas. If anyone has any information or can tell me where to look for any records please help.
