I am trying to find a marriage record for Henry H (Harrison) Nelson and Eliza/Elizabeth C. Lyle. The date I have for the marriage is 24 Aug 1854. Eliza was in Jasper County in the 1850 census with her father, Edward Lyle, and mother, Harriet. Next time Eliza is found is in the 1860 census of Polk County, TX with her husband, Henry and three children that were born in Mississippi. So, I suspect they may have married in Jasper County. Are there marriage records for Jasper county for 1854 or were they destroyed in fire or some other calamity that would be just my luck. Any help is appreciated.
