We found the cemetery and placed a confederate flag there about.....oh.....1999 according to our photo. Smack dab in the middle of the woods. My husband is Charles Whatley's great-great-grandson and born in Winnfield, Louisiana. CW Long's military record states that he died of aneurysm while stationed at Meridian, Mississippi prior to the battle at Vicksburg where most of his men were killed. Susan
