This family appears in early Itawamba county records, but disappear after the 1860 census. 1860 their post office was listed as "Marrietta" and this appears to be in present day Prentiss County, Mississippi.
Rosaline BELL married Asa Henry EDGE (B.1855 SC and disappears after 1863). He is a son of Asaph EDGE (1782-bef 1860) and Milly UNKNOWN (1791-after 1860).
The EDGE family appears in early Fairfield, South Carolina records.
Asa Henry EDGE enlisted in the Confederate army as Pvt in Co F 31st Mississippi Infantry. He was hospitalized in April 1863 and listed as deserted in June 1863. I have not located him in any records after his 1863 desertion. Rosaline didn't file for a widow's pension in Arkansas.
I am interested in any information on him or his family. Rosaline, his wife, moved to Prairie County, Arkansas before 1900. Rosaline BELL EDGE was living in Lee County, Mississippi 1880, but have not located her family in 1870.

IV. Samuel B. EDGE (1860 Kirkville, Itawamba County-1937 Muscogee County, Georgia. Samuel married Elzora PARHAM in 1879 Lee County, MS.
V. Albert Henry EDGE (1861 Itawamba County-1940 Prentiss Co., Mississippi. Albert married Mary Elizabeth CUMMINGS 1888 in Lee County, MS.
VI. Marguerite Frances EDGE (1864 Itawamba Co-1950 Stuttgart, Arkansas. Marguerite married James BEMROSE in Arkansas.
