I just returned from Itawamba Library with more questions than answers. I was able to find one marriage licence however and this is the info that I have and hope that someone can help me with my questions.

Thomas Habor married Sarah Ann Mcniece in Dec of 1876

They had at least one son named Gilbert Harbor born Sep 1892 and died 1959 in Arkansas. He is listed as Grand son to James and Elizabeth Mcneese on the 1900 Pontotoc Census along with his mother Sarah A Harbor.

Thomas and Sarah had at least one other child. A daughter named Cordelia born in 1881 so not on any census I can find because she married J A Stone my Great grand father in 1894 or 1896 in Pontotoc County.

My problems are this:

I need to find Thomas and Sarah together on a census... The only one they would have been together on were the 1880 and 1890 and I know therefore the 1880 is my only hope. They only thing I have found close is a Thomas and Winnyford Harbor in Itawamba county with approximately the same ages.

What happend to Thomas and Sarah??? Where did they get to where are they buried. I know Gilbert went to Arkansas I wonder if all the other Harbors did also because I can not find graves for them in either Itawamba or Pontotoc Counties.

I am really needing to get a birth and death date for Thomas. I have no idea really how old he was Just assumptions. If anyone else has any info that might help I would greatly appreciate it.

btw does anyone know if there is a copy of the 1880 census transcribed some where? I have looked at the one on ancestry.com and it is ridicolous as far as how they have one of the Harbors that is CLEARLY Harbor on the census as Harefeour or some such. I know it's online on the Itawamba site but my eyesite is not good enough to read it that good.
