I am the great grandson of Carrie Shrock Parker. After my parents divorced, she raised me in early childhood at her house on Highway 51 in Goodman. I remember what an amazing and outgoing person she was. I attended her 100th birthday celebration at the Shrock House in Attala County and remember meeting people and hearing the stories of how she impacted so many lives. Even at 100, she still had the energy, optimism, and mindset of a young person and never let anything hold her back. That's why we called her "Go-Go".
Our family Christmas, Thanksgiving, and other get-togethers were never the same after her passing. I want her memory to live on so I am creating an archive and web page that includes her accomplishments and life story. If you or Clarence still have the a copy of the interview you did with her, that would be very helpful. Please feel free to message me here on ancestry and we can exchange contact information.
