Does anyone know of a listing of children who were in any orphanages in MS between the period 1875-1900? I know there were a Baptist & a Methodist orphanage in Jackson. I am trying to find 3 brothers (Phillip James Coston, born 1868, Abe Coston, born 1872 and Jeremiah Coston, born 1875, around Jones or Covington counties. I believe their father Jeremiah may have passed away shortly after 1875, and they were left with the mother Frances B. Steelman Coston, who may have passed about 1875. The brothers don't show up on any 1880 census and then are all in Covington County, MS after 1900 as property owners. I was thinking they may have been in an orphanage during the "missing years" and wanted to know if anyone had access to those type of records to see if it provides information. Thanks. Michelle
