I'm trying to find some graves in the Byram area that I'm guessing are probably somewhere off the beaten path -- probably a very small family cemetery on private property, possibly overgrown and unfindable. I've seen two Milligan death certificates from the early twentieth century that say "burial in Byram" -- one says "Milligan Cemetery, Byram." I've found no evidence of a Milligan Cemetery. The fact that there's no mention of it in Mary Collins Landin's thorough and wonderful book makes me think it's somewhere obscure and possibly lost. But I'm posting this on the chance that somebody might have stumbled upon some Milligan graves. (There are a few Milligans in well-kept cemeteries in the vicinity -- Old Byram Community Cemetery and Bethesda Baptist Cemetery. I've found those graves.) It's possible that some Stanleys and Hemphills might be with these lost Milligan graves. I will be forever grateful if anybody can give me a hint in my search for them!
