I knew a few of the older Milligans while growing up close to the Byram community. Ben and Herbert Milligan lived on Terry Road just south of Siwel Road on the left. Herbert is buried in Section 10 @ Lakewood Cemetery off Clinton Blvd. between Jackson and Clinton, Ms. His marker is very close to my parents and grandparents graves. I do know the Hemphill's also from Florence, Ms. just across the bridge from the Byram community(now a city). I do not know the connections so I probably won't be able to help.
