Does anyone down there in Mississippi know if there are old records available for the old Salem Cemetery behind the Mount Rose church south of McLain

I've up-loaded pictures & bios to FAG of burials in Salem Cemetery. Also a couple in the Pipkins Cemetery.
Also you can access Jimmy Trussells cemetery list. He has done a wonderful job recording cemeteries in the George & Greene Co area.

Thank you! Now I'll show my total lack of knowledge and ask--what is FAG?? I'm really looking forward to seeing it, just not quite sure.....

Thank you, Linda! It finally dawned on me what FAG meant.. yes, I have seen those pictures. I visited the cemetery myself about 5 years ago, lots of family there. I was wondering if there were surviving records anywhere in the county or churches regarding burials? It's obvious there are other graves there, and I'm thinking it must be the location for several on my list, but I'm so far away I haven't been able to get back down there. Thank you for your work in that area. The pics and bios are appreciated.

I can't help you on the records.
I took pictures of the graves and wrote down what I could read.
Malcolm Black and Sarah Ray are my ancestors.
Check Richard Blacks website, he has some good pics before the hurricanes ruined the cemetery.

Oh no! The hurricanes ruined the cemetery? What kind of damage was done?

I am a great-granddaughter of Emma Black Yahn. What is your family connection?

I have seen Richards page, it is great, isn't it? Didn't get the chance to meet him, haven't been in Texas yet, but we did speak on the phone. His dad did some great research there.

I have lots of information about the Blacks, too, and will share whatever I have that you would like. I have a few good pictures.

Joanne

I descend from Sarah Black mrd William Goff; their dau Sarah mrd Seborn Wilson, dau Azlean mrd Alfred L. Havens are my ggrandparents.
Azleans sister Annie Eliz. Wilson mrd Sidney Sanders Bond is buried near your ggrandfather (JH Yahn)in Pipkins Cem. I also have their gravestones pics on findagrave.
Look at the cemetery picture at findagrave of the Salem Cem. and you'll see what I mean about the distruction.
I have very little info on the Blacks
