Hi Linda, You said you have hundreds of Walleys in your database. By any chance, do you have a Bert & Ina Walley? I don't have dates for them. They are the ones who raised my grandfather, Charlie Boyd LOTT. From what I know so far they had one daughter, who we think was older than Charlie. Charlie was born 10-Dec-1898 or 1893, depending on which records you look at. I'm still trying to get more info on Charlie, but am also interested in the Walley family. I was wondering if they were kin, or just generous people who needed another male to help out with things.
Any info you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I have just started researching my husband's family lines. His father was James Chapman born 12/12/1894 his mother was Ada Walley born 2/11/1912. I've come to a stand still on the Henderson line at William Isaac Henderson b. abt. 1802. He married Elizabeth Hale Strickland b. 1/26/1806. Do you have any other info futher back than William Isaac?
On the Strickland side do you have documentation of who Simeon S. Strickland's father and mother were? Several places list his father as John Mark Strickland and David Strickland. Also who was John Jark's father, william or Jacob Strickland? Do you have info futher back than Matthew Strickland Jr. born in 1681 died 10/1730?
Elizabeth Hale Strickland who married William Isaac Henderson, her mother and father were Jane or Jenny Hale and Simeon S. Strickland. Jane's mother was Hanna or Hannah Hale. My question is who was Hanna Hale married to, Samuel Hale, CreekChief FAROFF or Creek chief Hopaithele Havjo?? Also was the indian connection ever officially established - - if so how?
Has it been established that anyone in any of these lines participated in the American Rev.??
Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated
Matthew Strickland Jr. born 1681 married Ann Braswell or Bracewell born 1682. Her father and mother were Rickard Braswell born abt. 1652 and Sarah ??Sampson or Valentine born abt. 1655. The last info I have on the Braswell/Bracewell line is John Brancewell closed rolls 1484 Gent., Granthan, Lincoln, England. Do you have any other info or documentation?
On the Walley side so far I have info going back to James Jim Walley, Jr. born 1798 married Sarah Gardner. But a Mertie Walley whose husband Denton K. Walley did a LOT of research on the Walley branch lives in a retirement home whre both my parents live. In Nov. I will be going over her materials so maybe it will help. Denton Walley is deceased.
Thank you for all your help. Donna H.

My interest in your post has to do with your William Henderson/Zachariah Henderson query. As the gggg granddaughter of Zachariah, I can tell you that the William Henderson who appears in the 1850 Greene County, MS census IS NOT the son of Zachariah. There is a line of thought being passed around on the 'net that William is Zachariah's son, but Zachariah was born 1795-1800. William was born 1802-1804. No on is doing the math! Also, no male appears in Zachariah's household until the 1840 census and that was my ggg grandfather, Joseph, born about 1833. I'm just hoping to clear up some erroneous information being passed around. Thanks, Ladonna Viertel

Thank you for your reply concerning Zachariah Henderson - it did look rather strange--age wise. Did your Zachariah Henderson live at one time in Greene Co. Miss.? Who was his wife and what was his parent's names? I wonder if my William Isaac Henderson and your Zachariah were related. Did your Zachariah have any brothers or sisters? From what I understand my William Isaac was born in SC and married Elizabeth Hale Strickland in Alabama. Any info. you have regarding your Zachariah's kin etc. would be helpful. Thanks for your help.
