MRS. SUE F. MOZELLE, 61, a retired Veterans Administration Accountant, died at her home in Ridgeland, Sunday, September 28, 1997 after a long hard fight with breast cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Mississippi. She was born in Canton, raised in Vestry, and spent her adult life in the Jackson area. She was Valedictorian of her high school class at Broom High School, and was a graduate of Perkinston Junior College (Now Gulf Coast Community College) where she earned an Honors Degree in business Administration. In college she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Academic Fraternity, The Baptist Student Union and The Commercial Club. After graduation from Junior College she worked for the Federal Government for 35 years until her retirement from the Veteran Administration in 1991. At the Veterans Administration, she received numerous performance awards for her work as an Accounting Technician. she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ridgeland. Her interest were bird watching, gardening and taking care of her pets.

She was preceded in death by her husband, JOHNNY MOZELLE of Rolling Fork, MS. and by her parents, NORMAN V. and FREDA A. FLURRY of Vestry, MS.

Survivors include her brother, NORMAN RAY FLURRY, and his wife, V. SUE FLURRY, and their children, HELEN D. nad CHRISTOPHER FLURRY, all of Dallas, TX.. Other survivors are several aunts and uncles; GEORGE and MARY ROHR, ROBERT YOUNG and ELIZABETH FLURRY, and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 1997 from 6-8 p.m. and the funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 1997. Both will be at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Interment will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday in Red Creek Union Cemetery in Vestry, MS. The Rev. Mike Lofton of First Baptist Church Ridgeland will officiate at the funeral and the graveside service will be conducted by the family.
