Searching for origins of John T. Colbert who served as Tax Assessor/Collector for Covington Co. 1823-1827,and died in 1838, leaving widow Margaret McAfee and six children. They relocated to Tallahatchie Co. and appear in the 1840 census. I would really appreciate any help.
