It's the result of a poor job of transcribing by Ancestry. I've reported it twice and asked them to fix, but it hasn't happened. If you look at the actual census pages, you can see the different households. (every household is numbered) But when you look at "details" on ancestry you get the whole community, which precludes a nice print out of the census entries for each family. It's very frustrating and especially confusing to new researchers. But if you find your family on the actual census page, you can get the details you need. Reminds me of the "old days" when I had to look at microfilm!
