I'm trying to verify the marriage of Sarah Francis Gipson/Gibson and John Thomas Smith. She was born in Homer in 1857, married in Claiborne County supoosedly in 1876 and died in 1877. Her father, John M Gipson/Gibson married Susan Minerva Kendrick in Homer. Apparently there used to be a Kendrick Cemetery in Homer but I can't find any sources that tell me it's still there. Some of the the Gibson/Gipson family are buried there with the Kendrick family members. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to getting some information on these names and places?

As long as I have been doing this I KNEW Homer was in Louisiana and not Mississippi! It must have been a rough day when I typed this original question. Thanks for the input.
