Am searching for information about, and ancestors of Elisha and Nancy Taylor, parents of Will and John P. Taylor.
These are my great grandparents. Have nothing on Elisha, and only know that Nancy died March 3, 1892, in Vicksburg MS.

Thanks
Boyce Taylor

e-mail me if your still looking for your ancestors...I may be able to help your search. I know where a Taylor cemetary is at my deer camp between Port Gibson and Rocky Springs

My husband's ggrandfather was Will Taylor of Claiborne Co., MS. I don't know anything of his parents or siblings but was told that he had 2 or 3 wives and MANY children. One of those children was Leonard David Taylor who married Bessie Priscilla Wilson in Claiborne Co. I know Leonard had brothers named Sid, Edward, and a sister Pearl plus many more, maybe an older brother Dan. If this is the Will Taylor you are referring to, please contact me. Thanks.

To KC from Shayne Taylor:

Thanks for the info on the cemetary; we are already aware of it, I think. Are you referring to the Taylor Cemetary located on the old Will Taylor place, S/W of the Willows community?

We have confirmed that Will Taylor (son of Elisha and Nancy) is buried there, but unfortunately the cemetary has been vandalized, and the Taylor headstones are missing.

The verification came from Leonard Wilson, brother-in-law of Leonard Taylor, one of Will's sons - who says he attended Will Taylor's Funeral.

We also suspect, but have not yet confirmed, that Elisha and Nancy are buried there.

Thanks for your help.

Is this the cemetery that goes by the name of Taylor-Emrick? Either way, I would love to know the exact location, if possible, strictly for the purpose of historical research, trying to cover all Claiborne County grave sites. Besides directions, if you could give me the current name of the deer camp and any current members, I would be most grateful.

Thank you! Bondiggr ( I do not actually dig bones!)
