I am searching for information about "Mayfair Plantation," which was built by John Vincent May and wife Elizabeth Richardson May about 1836 or 7. "Mayfair" was located 10 miles east of Hulka between Okolona and Houston. May Cemetery was located 200 yds. from the home. Mayfair apparently burned down about mid-eighteen hundred, but the foundation was still visible as recently as 1997. If anyone has any knowledge of Mayfair or knows of any pictures of it, please do let me know.
