I just found your post regarding Wm. H. Townsend 1750-1830. I found the 1910 census records for J D Townsend in Carroll MS. My grandfather Howard O. Townsend was one of his sons. My father's name is Wm. Howard Townsend b 1919 and is still living. He is a WWII vet. I am trying to find J. D. 's parents. I have hit a dead end. The census record says they were both born in North Carolina. However, there are no names on the census record and I have searched NC records and cannot connect any Townsends to J. D. ( I am assuming this is the James David you have mentioned.) My dad has mentioned a James David , so I am pretty sure this is my
ggrandfather. I would like to find out as much info as I can on the Townsends. My Dad is 95
years old and it would make him so happy if I could find out more info on his family. Thank
you for you response. At least I hope you respond to me after such a long time! We just lost my brother in May and it would be so nice if I could tell his children about our family. Thank you.
