Does anyone know if any copies of newspapers from the Carroll, Holmes, Choctaw County areas exist for late in 1861 and early 1862. I would also like to be able to look at some newspapers from the area that would have been printed from the mid-1830's forward. Also, would anyone have any information about the Gray-Edwards feud that took place largely in Choctaw County (the Gray family was mostly from Carroll County) and that resulted in the deaths of the three Gray brothers, Dr. James Gray, William P. Gray, and Robert K. Gray, at the hands of a lynch mob in the now extinct town of Greensboro in present-day Webster County? The feud became violent in late November, 1861 and resulted in the deaths of Judge Edwards and his son, Luther, and a day or so later in the deaths of the aforementioned Gray brothers.
