Hi Georgia, I have a Eunice AVANTS in my line born Nov. 1897 who married Harry Wiltshire. Eunice AVANTS is a niece of Lillian Viola (Jennings) Adams. One of Lilllian Adams's
sons was James Merle Adams who married Lina Wiltshire 16 Sept 1921 in Cleveland, Bolivar County, MS.

Lillian Viola (Jennings) Adams & her husband Richard Thomas Adams are my grandparents. They had a farm in Merigold, Bolivar Co, MS.

Do any of these people sound familiar to you?

Hello,
Thank you for the info. I do know that Harry Wiltshire my grandfather came from Mississippi and once lived with his grandfather in Arkansas. Do you know if Harry ever did? This Lina Wiltshire, did she have children? Did Harry and Eunice have children? The Avant name keeps popping up in my research. If you would like to email me, feel free to do so.

Warmest regards,
Georgia

As you can see, the message above was posted in '98. I have had contact with alot of people on the Wiltshire's, some from Bolivar. Unfortunately, no one seems to have heard of my grandfather, HARRY Wiltshire. I can give you the other people's emails to help in your searches if you would like.

I am trying to get information on a Dennard (David Denrent or Durent Wiltshire). I'm not sure of the correct spelling and unsure of the first name, David. He could have possibly resided in Bolivar at one time or had relatives there. At one time he lived in Carroll County. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!!!

Thanks to everyone for the info on the Harry Wiltshire line in Bolivar County. The Harry I am looking for would have been 16 in 1920. We found a census record where he lived in Blytheville, AR with a M.E. Wiltshire and Ellen(?) his grandparents in 1920 and was listed as 16. There was also a Sally I believe living with them also. Does anyone have a birthday on any of the Harry's they have mentioned?

Hi Georgia, have not heard from you in a long time. I have a Harry Wiltshire (do not have a birthdate for him) but he married my great aunt Eunice Avants who was born in Nov. 1897, so I assume Harry's birthdate might be around that time? But just guessing. This same Harry had a sister Sally Katherine Wiltshire, I don't have a birthdate for her either but this Sally married a Joseph S. Avants who was born 2 Sept 1909. Harry & Sally's parents were William Robert Wiltshire born 12 Dec 1853 In Lee County, MS and his wife Frances "Jennie" Eugenia Smith born 18 Sep 1855 in Duck Hill, MS. Some of this info I recd from Nancy, her e-mail is ajnkh@watervalley.net. And some from my family "Adams" book. My Adams family migrated from Choctaw Co., MS to Bolivar County, MS in the early 1900's.
When you have time, tell me what the census says about his age and birthplace and also others in household, does it say Harry and Sally were born in MS?

Warm regards, Larose Adams Wynne
