I'm searching for information on JOHN GAUNT (1863, possibly in MO - 1927 Belmount, Mississippi). He married an ESTEL or ESTELL SMITH (April 4, 1885 - MO to December 14, 1929 MO)
They were married in 1903 in Stonewall, Mississippi. The only info I have on ESTEL is that her father was supposed to be a JOHN SMITH. She remarried a man with the last name of CROW.
JOHN GAUNT & ESTEL had seven children: WILLIAM (ROY), ROBERT, RALPH, RUBY, RAY, JOHN & NELLIE who died as a child.
The family lived in the areas of Benton Co., MS and Arkansas and Stateline, Mississippi & Missouri.
There is also a family story about a brother of JOHN GAUNT, nicknamed EARLY (EARL LEE) going off with others on a hunting trip when EARLY was 8 yrs old. EARLY was lost and never found.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
