I received this from Bethany Presbyterian church in Ariel, Amite Co., Mississippi today in the mail. Here is a short summary of the correspondence.

In the year 2008 Bethany will celebrate its bi-centennial. Coincident with this, a handsome plaque, featuring a 'thumnail' sketch of the church's history, has been erected on the building, and another is shortly to be added recognising the placement of the property on the National Register. Because it was felt something more than simply the display of these plaques is appropriate, a service of dedication has been planned, to take place on
Sunday, the 24th of October, 2004, at two o'clock in the afternoon, with a reception to follow the service. This letter is being sent to you as an invitation to be present for this service and other activities of the day.
