I'm hoping someone will have some information on this family. The 1870 census lists the following:

J. E. (Jonathan?) Montgomery age 51 born MS
S. (Sarah?) Montgomery age 45 born LA
C. E. (Calvin Edwin?) age 22 born MS
E. A. J. (female) age 20, born MS
Will E. age 16, born MS
E. G. (Emma Gertrude?) age 12, born MS
J. A. (male) age 6, born MS
N. (male) age 1 born MS

I have a C. E. Montgomery in my files that I am trying to trace. He married Sarah Lucinda Palmer in East Feliciana Parish, LA 3/14/1895. Sarah died in East Feliciana on 8/8/1898. While searching Family Trees on rootsweb, I came across a listing for a Calvin Edwin Montgomery who married a Sarah Palmer in East Feliciana. I tried e-mailing the person who posted the info with no results. He noted that Calvin and Sarah had a son Jesse Lane born about 1986 and that Calvin moved to Arkansas after Sarah's death.

I also have a Emma Gertrude Montfomery who married Atchmit Fauver II in East Feliciana on 2/15/1883. And an Ella Montgomery (born about 1845) who married a George Washington Norwood 11/28/1865 in St. Helena Parish, LA.

I am trying to connect these people or, at least disprove, that they belong to the same family. The J. E. Montgomery family is the first hint I have found that might be correct. This family lived in Amite Cty and is on the census for 1850 and 1860. After that, I don't see them. Any help would be appreciated.
