You sound like you may be related to Correze? I am a descendant of Mary Elizabeth and WIlliam Oliver Buck, and I have gone to the New Roads courthouse and found a good deal of information. Jesse Kennedy was living with Mary Elizabeth and Oliver in the 1850 census. I have a great deal of information I got from Oliver's succession that was filed in the New Roads courthouse, but each answer produces lots more questions. We visited the site of the plantation, which was called Woodland Retreat. I will be happy to share information.
