Looking for "A.N. Ryan" from Natchez...

...I'm writing a biography of silent film actress Colleen Moore for Mcfarland, and in my research I find that in either late 1920 or early 1921, she was in thecity of Natchez filming "Slippy McGee." It looks like she and the crew were there in town for some weeks, and it sounds like it was a big deal for the locals. However, upon her return to Los Angeles, in an interview made comments about the hospitality she received while in town that offended many people (stereotypical views of souther hospitality, this sort of thing). It was enough for Mr. A.N. Ryan to write in protest to the Los Angeles Times in September 1921. First, I'd love to know who A.N. Ryan was... he sounds like a civic booster, perhaps someone in government, but no identification aside from the name was made in the Times. Also, I'd love to know if there are still any stories about Hollywood's visit to Natchez. I hope to get some of the local papers via interlibrary loan sometime soon, but I'm lazy and maybe I'll be lucky and someone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance for whatever help everyone can provide! If anyone wants to read his article, here's the citation: "NATCHEZ RESENTS OPINION OF MOTION-PICTURE STAR," by A.N. RYAN, Los Angeles Times, September 4, 1921, page III28.
