my ancestors were german speaking people living in what is the Czech Republic today. When Hitler lost the war and the Czech people moved back into their land and homes, the German speaking people were exiled. Where did they go? how can I locate them today?
I live in Ennis Texas which is a Czech community. they go to the Cech republic today and they find family living there today-cousins etc. I went to the Czech republic and found houses etc where my ancestors lived but no one claimed to have the names we were researching or to be kin. They said it was because of the expellsion. I would assume I have cousins there in maybe Germany today. I need direction at this point
