Several of us are researching the SAMZ family and those families who married into this family. We know that at least two brothers came to the US in 1868 from Furwitz, Bohemia (aka Vribice by Dekov, Czech Republic). They were of German heritage and family members who did not come to the US may have moved to Munich, Germany. Carl SAMZ settled in Chicago. He married Anna HYNNA. Johann SAMZ, b. 1817 settled in Mishicot, WI. He married Francis MEIER. Children of these two brothers married into the following families, among others -- EIS, TROSSEN, HEYROTH, REUTER, and HOMMERDING.
