I see the German name for Jihlava is 'Iglau' - does anyone know if there is any connection to the town formerly known as "Iglo" and currently known as Spisske Nova Ves?
I am researching the Schwabik family name and am following a clue which has lead me to Jihlava.

Iglo/Szepesiglo was Hungarian name for/of Spisska Nova Ves and Neudorf was German.

Jihlava and Spisska Nova Ves are 2 different towns.
Jihlava is in Czech Republic and Spisska Nova Ves in Slovak Republic, which you know.
Iglau and Iglo 2 different names.
If your ancestors were from Jihlava than Iglau is the place for your research. Forget Spisska Nova Ves.

Our relatives were from Spisske Nova Ves, that is confirmed. I guess I was looking at the similarity of Ilgo/Iglau and wondered if there was some connection between the two towns (families, etc.)
