I'm researching my husband's family. His great grandparents are:
Josef Wilfred Wenzel b. 1 Apr 1850 in Stary Laz Bohemia. Now it is: Starlitz (spelling?) in the Czech Republic.

Clara Bayerl b. 5 Apr 1851 in Hadrava (also in Bohemia). According to person who helped me transcribe a letter, it was part of the German "Landkreis Mark Eisenstein". She married Josef in 1873.

In 1883 they embarked from Bremen to USA with their children: John, Joseph Johan, Mary and Anne.

There are other Bayerl families in Menominee but I do not know if they are related.

Clara's siblings are: Jacob (b. 1836), Anne Marie (b. 1837), John (b. 1846) and Theresa (b. 1857).

Josef's siblings are: Casper, Anna Marie, Andrew, Barbara and Henry.
