You asked if anyone has connected up August Prechel b 1835 at Podstulitz with the rest of the Prechels of Waseca County. I was hoping someone else (family members) might order a film or 2 to try to find Johann b 1812 or August b 1835, but I guess so far no one has. From family sources though it seems that Johann is born of a Martin Prechel, while Gottlieb at Waseca Co. is born of an older Gottlieb Prechel (and Anna Rosine Huebner). I don't know where Johann Samuel Prechel was born, but Gottlieb was born at Podstulitz, and so perhaps Gottlieb Sr. is the father of August too.
The question is where to look for sources. From Jan Textor's look at Jankendorf's films it seems that Gottlieb Sr. was not mentioned there, though some Prechels are listed including a Martin b 1783. Kolmar's baptisms from 1821 are on-line on the IGI (Family Search website), and your August is not mentioned or other early Prechels. So it seems to me the most likely place to check is Margonin, where as the Poznan Marriage Project shows, August got married. Hopefully, someone (maybe I) will check Margonin films to see if my theory holds up. Maybe you'd be willing to check film 1194737 item 3 or 1194738 for baptisms in 1835 (they seem to be divided up between the 2 films-- some one one film, and others on the other film). Records don't seem to be available there prior to 1831 except for marriages and deaths (Catholic records may have some earlier Protestant records though too from 1810 on).
I hope this helps lead to further findings. All the best,
Ken Neumann
