Jakob Baggenstoss- Anna Rosina Hodel Marriage at Münsingen

Surnames: BAGGENSTOSS, HODEL, CHRISTEN
The large CHRISTEN, BAGGENSTOSS, and HODEL relatives (myself included) may be interested to learn of my finding the wedding date and place for Jacob Baggenstoss (1838) and Anna Rosina Hodel (1842). Many of the family trees I've seen either don't know more than the year (1861) and guess at the place being either Rafz (Jacob's ancestral town) or Konolfingen (Anna Rosina's Hodel ancestral town).
But now that the Family Search website has made available on-line many Swiss church records (especially Bern Canton), which are viewable at a person's nearest LDS (Mormon) Fam. Hist. Ctr., I was able to find the wedding record-- at Münsingen, Bern canton, on 11 Nov. 1861. This town is southeast of Bern and not very far from Konolfingen. The sources for those interested are the Münsingen marriage records, Heiraten, Index- 1860-1875 folder, image 9, page 13, and in "Eheverkündigungen" (marriage proclamations) 1859-1874, image 26, p. 48, item 96. One surprise from them is that both Jakob and Anna were residing at Thun at the time of their marriage, and that's where some of their children were born and baptized (at least Emilie, born 1 Aug 1866 (not 15 Aug. as family trees show) and Lina, b 5 Mar 1868). Jakob was a "Schlosser" (locksmith) at Thun.
Another surprise is that the marriage proclamation and the baptisms show that Jakob's father was not "Heinrich" as many family trees say but Jakob.
I would encourage anyone interested to check out the records and verify for themselves the various names, places and dates in the Swiss records.
