In the book The Growth of Sherburne County is the information: "1881 Three members of the Garlinghouse family died of an unidentified illness. The burden on the family was so great the county furnished the coffins -$18.50 for all three and the burial expenses." Does anyone know the first names and ages of these family members?

Henry Garlinghouse was the brother of my 3rd Great Grandmother Susannah Groff

What was the cause of those Garlinghouse deaths, do you know?

My great grandmother was Sarah Garlinghouse Heath, daughter of David Woodruff Garlinghouse and wife Catherine (Garlinghouse) Garlinghouse. They lived in Greenbush, MN.

Nice to hear from you. Your Catharine is sisters with Susanna Garlinghouse, my 3rd great grandmother. I do not know what was the cause of the deaths of the family of Henry's. I would be happy share my information on the Garlinghouse's that I have, and would be interested to know what you have as well.

By the way, I'm missing the birth and death dates for you ancestor Catharine and their siblings. Their mother Amanda Belknap's family is documented back to the 12th century, although it's hard to know how accurate it is when you go that far back.

Does anyone have good source documentation for the parents of Catharine Garlinghouse (b. 1829; m. David G-house)? I have one source that claims she was the daughter of George Garlinghouse & Elsy Lee Drury G-house; another claims she is the daughter of Josiah and Amanda.

The mention of Elsy Lee Drury to this Garlinghouse line was of interest to me. Is she related to the other Drury famiy(ies?) in the Sherburne/Benton/Stearns county area? In particular, any connection to Henry Richard Drury or John Drury?

Elsey Lee Drury (1807-1892) was the daughter of Samuel Drury (1765?-1824) and Hannah Brownson (1774-1850). Samuel was the son of Nicholas Drury (birth and death dates not known by me).
