Anna Marie Horbacz was born, July 15, 1918 in Germany, she was one of ten siblings. She married John in 1948, and they immigrated with their son to the United States in 1951. Anna and her husband lived and worked in Minneapolis for several years and then bought a farm in Danforth.

Anna and her two sons moved to the farm and started a dairy operation, while her husband continued to work in Minneapolis for several years.

Anna continued to live on the farm with her family, attended Danforth Sunday School and participated in Ladies Aide. She learned to read and write English with help from her neighbors, enjoyed gardening, loved flowers, working with her animals and picking blueberries.

In 1994, Anna moved into Mighty Fortress in Hinckley where she enjoyed her neighbors and Family. Recently she moved into Elderwood in Hinckley, where she made many new Friends and enjoyed visits from Friends and Family. Her lovely spirit, constant smile and love for the Lord inspired and touched all who worked with her and visited her.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband, John, two of her sons, Edward and Donny, 1 grandson, Timmy and 1 grandaughter, Gracie. She is survived by her son, George (Kathy) Horbacz, her daughter Mary Horbacz, daughters- in-law, Connie and Darlene, 12 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren.

Anna loved her family and always lit up for their visits. She was a prayer warrior and fisher of men right to the end. Anna passed away peacefully at her home in Elderwood, April 6th, 2012, at the age of 93 years.

Funeral Services 11:00 am Monday, April 9, 2012 at Danforth Community Chapel with Pastor Peter Dobson officiating. Visitation 1 hour prior to services at church. Interment at Spring Park Cemetery, Sandstone, MN.
