Meredith Allen Nelson “Al” of Wyoming, Minnesota, died June 10, 2009, at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood after suffering a major stroke.

Al was born June 16, 1919, in Bruno to Adolph and Eddie Nelson. He was raised by his grandparents, Olaf and Amelia Nelson of Bruno.

Al enjoyed people, music, and his “girls” as he called his dogs. The Nelson cousins will especially miss him at family gatherings, where he always took the time to visit with all the relatives.

Al was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; and one of his “girls” Pepper, and is survived by his other “girl”, Sami; and many friends and relatives.

A memorial service was held at Church of Victory at 11 a.m. on June 13 with the Rev. Marlyn Degerstrom officiating.
