Ole O Bjorge, husband of Siri, committed suicide by hanging himself over a contest filed against his homestead in Smiley Township, Pennington County, Minnesota. Ole O. Bjorge is shown on the 1909 and 1911 Platt Maps in Section 4 with 160 acres.
Distraught over a counter claim filed (person unknown at this time) he hung himself leaving his wife and 8 children.
His daughter, Freda Otelia (b 3 Jun 1899) would become the wife of Ole A. Newton, son of Abraham B Newton, the adjacent land owner in Section 8 (kitty corner to the SW).
