I found my relatives John and Rosanna Caulfield on the 1860 census with three children that are not on any other census. They are Julia age 4, Sarah age 2 and Melinda age 1. They lived in Byron. Did typhoid take many people in that time frame? The rest of the family survived. I suppose it is possible these three did not belong to this family, and were just visiting but they do fit in the birth order. Is there any record of their deaths?
thanks for any help
