Classification: Query
Surnames: Czapwiesky, Chapweske, Pierzinski, Faust
John came from Prussia/Poland to Pennsylvania about 1870. His wife Johanna was first married to unknown Pierzinski and he died and she remarried in Pennsylvania to John Czapwiesky about 1875. They are next found in Chicago on 1880 census using the name Hartman. Finally to Morrison Co., MN shortly after the 1880 census where John died 1884. Johanna and children are found 1885 in Morrison Co. using name Czapiski. Johanna had 2 children Albert and Gustav Pierzinski born in Poland, then children Alexander, Robert and Martha Czapwiesky born in PA then a daughter Mary was born in May 1883 in Minnesota. John Czapwiesky is buried in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Johanna then married a 3rd time to Joseph J. Faust 1889 and they are living in Morrison Co., Pierz Twp. on the 1895 state census with a combined family. In 1900 Joseph & Johanna Faust are living in Buh Twp., Morrison Co. and Johanna shows she's borne 9 children and only 4 are living. She died in 1932 and is buried with John Joseph Faust in the St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Pierz.
One son Robert Czapwiesky moved to Richland Co., North Dakota and his son Leonard moved on to Polk Co., Oregon. This family changed their name to Chapweske and later to just Chap. Death record of Robert shows Johanna's maiden name was Jahnke.
Would like to share and find out more about this family.
